I have had the dream of owning my own business for sometime, and have a vision of helping others. Our motto at Journey to Serenity is "all about YOU".
I hope that when you hear "Journey to Serenity" you feel a sense of calm within yourself. I hope it makes you feel like you want to come here, so you can relax, refocus, and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. We will give you personal attention to help you let go of the stress within yourself, as you enjoy a soothing facial, or a refreshing pedicure. Other stress relievers will include manicures, massage, or maybe some quiet shopping as you browse our retail area.
Our newest addition are our wigs that will be for anyone, young and old. Our wigs are for anyone that wants a wig for bad hair days, different looks, different color, and for medical reasons. Let us help you feel good, and look good.
Come with your best friend, spouse, or significant other, and enjoy some time together, while receiving a service together? Don't you think it is time to take care of yourself, and not have to travel to a big city to get what makes you feel best?

A year ago, I was very anxious as Journey to Serenity was about to open. I knew that these feelings were normal and knew in my mind what I wanted to see happen with the opening of Journey to Serenity. When you walk into my shop, I hope that we can help you feel relaxed, and help you forget about the everyday STUFF going on in your life, and make the time you are here all about YOU. What we want for you is to RELAX, REFOCUS, & REJUVENATE.
I know my shop can help you feel this, because I feel that I am so blessed to have the best co-workers. Please check out their profiles at under Specialists. I truly appreciate each of them.
We have done a lot over the past year. Shortly after opening the shop I fell and broke my ankle, but with a lot of help and support from my staff, and a lot of you, we held it all together. Hmm, thinking back, I imagine some of you really wanted to tell me to chill out, and know there were times when I was difficult to deal with.
YES, I was finally allowed to go back to work, and the day I was allowed to drive, I got the call from the manager of the building at 6:00 am to come in and prepare for flood waters to enter my shop....but again with a lot of help from a lot of people, and God watching over me, it didn't happen and we pulled through.
So with those events behind me, it was time to focus on YOU. I sincerely love going to work and spending time with each of you every day. I really don't think of it as work, because of YOU. I want you to feel like you are the only person that matters. I am very confident that we can help you feel pampered.
It was a lot of fun to do our February "Bring a friend" pedicure, serving sparkling juice with chocolate. It is so surprising to see how MEN really do like pedicures, (which they should have once in a while). You should think about a surprising your significant other with a a couples pedicure or for any service we offer...our men's product line is superb.
Our June "Tropical" pedicure was even more fun I think.....we took you away for an hour to the sound of waves, tropical drinks, and topical scented products to get your toes ready for sandal season.
In July Patty, Judy and I took classes to receive our certification to give 1-hour relaxation body massages, through the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology. If you haven't tried a relaxation body massage before, you should .....I think you will like it.
Oh, our September "BACK-to-SCHOOL" Back Facial was very relaxing and the hot stones certainly finished off your time of relaxing, refocusing, and rejuvenating. And you know we always say you don't have to do ANYTHING the rest of the day, but I am sure you don't follow that advice from us most of the time.....LIFE...yes it does take over, but for an hour, thanks for letting us help you reduce your stress level.
We just finished being trained to offer facial hair and forearm hair removal. We are using a product called Nufree. Nufree is soybased, and is much more gentle for you then traditional waxing.....stop in and talk with us about it.
We are able to work with 2 people at a time, whether it is for pedicures, back facials, massages, or facials. We have 2 deluxe spa pedicure chairs and 2 massage tables with optional body cushions that mold to you to make your experience more comfortable.
Thank you to each of you for touching our lives and allowing us to work with you. I hope we make you feel the way you make us feel. We love what we do.
